Q. What is the history of Intentional Living and Theta Consciousness?
A. Intentional Living is the evolution of a concept that began with a group of four students, Al Case, Brian Maloney, Mike Scotto and Bill Walsh, at Niagara University in 1972. They were originally researching the effects of hypnosis on hypnotized subjects. That original research into hypnosis evolved into a much larger, lifelong study of the relationship between the human mind and body. The original group of four students began growing, and eventually reached a level of about 25 people across the world from America to Australia and all points in between. Al Case continued, through the years, to be the facilitator of this expanded discussion group. As the group grew, it was formally organized in 2008 as the Intentional Living Association, with membership open to all interested parties.
